what we do

The purpose of this fund is to identify bright ideas and ambitious, talented people willing to innovate in the mobile space, and provide them financial as well as all other necessary support to ensure that they can start their own venture.

Very briefly, the program involves:

• Selection
• Incubation
• Launch

Selection

In the selection process, your idea is the most important fector to start with. Get us hooked with the right idea, and you will be sure to hear from us right away. But once the selection process begins, factors far more important than the idea itself come into play. We will look at team composition and size, the level of interest and ambition the team has, the team’s technical capabilities to execute the idea on its own, and much more.

Incubation

The incubation period will focus on:

• Exposure and guidance for the selected company founders
• Refinement of the idea and direction for each company
• Actual launch of an early version product

This period will also provide the founders with important opportunities to interact with industry veterans during weekly social events, as well as frequent opportunities to demonstrate their prototypes to PollenEight management and fellow founders in the batch.

Launch

A team’s ability to plan for big, large-scale products and yet execute in small steps is an important factor in our selection. As such, all PollenEight companies are expected to launch their product or service at a specially organized event, in the presence of media and other guests.
